Friday Faves: Favorite Spot for a Working Lunch
This week Friday Fave has a lot to do with the changing work environment we’ve all experienced. For those of us working from home, sometimes you hit your limit and just need to get out of the house for a few hours.
And for this week’s Friday Fave, we wanted to share our favorite spots to get out of the house, grab lunch, and get some work done – Choux Choux – a beautiful cafe in downtown Playa del Carmen. Located between Calle 24 and 26, on 20th Avenue, we love SO much about Choux Choux.
First off, the food. Delicious breakfast, a daily menu that offers 3 courses for a fixed price, there are vegan and vegetarian options, free pastries made daily, and the coffee is top-notch. Very reasonably priced, Choux Choux is a popular spot for people to come for lunch and stay to work a bit.
The second reason we love Choux Choux is their commitment to sustainability. They are committed to keeping our city clean and offer a drop-off point for recycling, a super cool initiative that we think is amazing and so great for Playa del Carmen.
And finally, the vibe. Choux Choux has cool decor, murals, outdoor and indoor seating, and the energy of the restaurants and the staff is so great. Definitely a great place to grab breakfast or lunch and work for a couple of hours and one of our favorite spots any time of day.
Playa del Carmen has seen a lot of changes since 2020 and the pandemic, one of which has been the rapid influx of digital nomads deciding to call Playa del Carmen home. When people started working from home and companies began realizing that for most jobs this could definitely be a change that sticks, a lot of people have relocated to Playa del Carmen. Lower cost of living, a warmer climate, fast internet, and a more relaxed pace of life make Playa the perfect place for young professionals.
If you’re one of those people looking to relocate to Playa del Carmen and are interested in real estate, send us a message, and let’s talk about your options.
