One of the things we love so much about Playa del Carmen, and the list is long, is the different neighborhoods and how easy it is to navigate the city. We all have different tastes, some people are looking for the vibrancy of living in the city, the hustle and bustle of 5th Avenue is what drew them to Playa del Carmen and they can’t imagine living someplace other than right in the heart of the action. For others, they are looking for green spaces, walking paths, and the peace and quiet of a gated community. Two of the most popular gated communities in Playa del Carmen are Playacar Phase 1 and Phase 2. The ease of access to 5th Avenue and the beach make Playacar a sought after area, not only for real estate but for vacation rentals. Playacar Phase 1 was developed in the late 70s, beachfront property with million dollar homes and exclusive hotels.
